Meal Plan Basics
Our meals are offered with unlimited seconds. Choosing a balanced meal from the many options Converse Dining offers gives you a terrific value.
Students who live on-campus are required to have a meal plan and are automatically enrolled in the 15-Value Meal Plan. Students may change to a different meal plan by coming to the dining services office located in Gee Dining Room. You have until the last day of the 2009 Fall Semester Drop/Add period to make any changes to your meal plan.
2009 - 2010 Meal Plans
- 19-Value Plan - Provides all-you-care-to-eat meals in Gee Dining Room plus $50 in Flex dollars ($ 25 per semester) to use in Sneakers Cafe.
- 15-Value Plan - Provides 15 all-you-care-to-eat meals to use during meal periods throughout the week in Gee Dining Room.
Includes $150 flex dollars ($75 for fall/winter semester & $75 for the Spring) to use at Sneakers Cafe or to treat family and friends to a meal at Gee Dining Room.
Flex dollars do not carry over from semester to semester.
- 12-Value Plan - Provides 12 all-you-care-to-eat meals to use during meal periods throughout the week in Gee Dining Room.
Includes $200 flex dollars ($100 for fall/winter semester & $100 for the spring semester) to use at Sneakers Cafe or to treat family and friends to a meal at Gee Dining Room.
Flex dollars do not carry over from semester to semester.
- Commuter Plan -10 Meals a week can be purchased and enjoyed in Gee Dining Hall for $1,199
- Commuter Plan -
Purchase 10 meals for $105 and have $ 52.25 in Connie Cash to spend at Sneakers. Contact the dining office at 864.596.9616

Resident meal plans begin Friday morning and run through Thursday
evening. Meals are reset every Friday morning.
Expense Dollars
Expense Dollars work just like a checking account. You deposit money into your account and charges are automatically deducted. Although the 12 and 16-Value Plans include some Flex Dollars, most students add additional money to their Expense account.
- Expense Dollars can be added to your account in any amount.
- You automatically save 7% with every purchase compared to cash because you are exempt from S.C. tax.
- Expense Dollars can be used Sneakers Cyber Cafe, Converse Bookstore and Gee Dining Room.
- Expense Dollars you add to your account carry over from semester to semester and from year to year.
